Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plays a key role in the way Bieze Food Group operates and does business. Which is why our policy focuses on three spearheads:
Bieze Food Group considers health very important. This is why employees are offered an annual health check that includes measuring their blood pressure and a blood test to check their cholesterol and blood sugar levels. These checks contribute towards improving employees’ health.
We encourage people to get actively involved in sport by participating in initiatives like the Halve van Nijkerk (Nijkerk half-marathon). Every year a large Bieze Food Group team takes part in this congenial and very popular sporting event.
Bieze Food Group is a family business. Which is why we understand the importance of creating a good learning and working environment for all our people.
One of the core aspects of our distribution centre is energy savings. Its floor area of around 15,000 m2 makes the BFG Warehousing building one of the largest sustainably-cooled distribution centres in the Netherlands: The solar panels on the roof generate around 250,000 KW per year and have already made a significant contribution. The distribution centre has been awarded a BREEAM Excellent certificate.
Bieze Food Group thinks the environment is important! We focus in particular on reducing our carbon footprint and lowering our activities’ environmental-impact. In the food industry minimising waste is very important as is using energy as economically as possible.
Casa Filadelfia is a children’s home in Ghiroda in Romania. The home looks after vulnerable children who do not have a family situation they can fall back on. Casa Filadelfia gives the children attention and love in a homely environment. Bieze Food Group thinks this is a fantastic initiative and, therefore, gladly supports Casa Filadelfia.
On 19 April 2017 nearly all the children in Casa Filadelfia visited Bieze Food Group. We lunched together and the children looked around our company.
As a Group we do not only focus on our financial performance, we also focus on fulfilling our social responsibilities. This is why we sponsor Casa Filadelfia, KIKA, the Ronald McDonald House, the GOAL Foundation and Stichting Kenya Kinderen (Kenya Children Foundation).
